NO is an independent organisation, and one of several specialised translators’ associations in Norway. The association also has a number of members who collectively translate from Norwegian into 15 other languages. NO has got 350 members translating into Norwegian from 50 languages. The true morale of this story is that I probably have too many electronic devices. The Norwegian Association of Literary Translators (NO) Thank you all for the company and I hope you enjoyed this tale of my woe. This probably gives this incident its ultimate conclusion. That's a great relief, although that also means I'll have to use two different cables for the Wii and the PS2 from now on (too much plugging and unplugging for my tastes). So it seems something got damaged in the PS2 portion of the cable (because the Wii still does work with it) and it works only occasionally. Which prompted me to try the older PS2 with that setup again and voila, there was no image either (although it worked during the one time I tested it earlier). I then took the PS2 back to the original TV with the 3-in-1 cable and it didn't work again. I dug out my old PS2-only cable, plugged it into another TV (I thought it could be something to do with my TV plus I didn't want to unplug my 3-in-1 cable as it's such a pain in the ass with wall-mounted TV) and everything worked fine. The PS2 is actually still under warranty, so I'd rather not do that! Anyway, it doesn't seem I would need to, because it seems to be a cable issue after all. Hopefully there's someone who had a similar experience as all I've been able to find on Google is people who can't switch from RGB to Y/Pb/Pr (which, again, I did). ![]() There were no significant incidents though, I didn't drop anything and my consoles are in order. I moved recently and carried the PS2 in a suitcase along with clothes etc and my other consoles, so something might have gotten damaged or something. So, anything else I could try before taking it back to the store (it's still under warranty as I bought it last October)? I'd rather not go down that avenue, because they don't the PS2 in stock anymore and the best case scenario is my getting my money back (however, I can still get a new PS2 from a few stores nearby). Please don't make comments about switching between Y/Pb/Pr and RGB as I already made sure everything is in order. This same cable works with my other PS2, so it's probably not about the cable or the TV. Sound is there, but no video whatsoever, meaning no 4:3 black bar or nothing (no signal whatsoever). Suddenly stopped getting video signal via component cable on my new PS2.
